Trolley Helper
About the Trolley Helper Role:
Location: St Peter’s carpark, then walking various routes around Wellington central eateries.
Time: 3pm (sharp) – 4:45pm (approx)
No roster needed, just turn up!
First timers should arrive 10-15 minutes early
(you will probably find the team hanging in the undercroft behind the church).
In this role, you will be walking one of our TFS trolleys around a list of local eateries to collect their excess food. On your first few shifts, you will be paired up with an experienced volunteer
This job is best for someone with an openness to learning, willing to meet new people and work with a team of diverse personalities and a range of life experiences.
Accessibility: Need to be able to walk and push a trolley.

Kitchen helper
About the Kitchen Helper Role:
Location: The Free Store premises.
Time: 5-6pm – Organised by roster
Able to efficiently and effectively wash and dry dishes, while being in a fun, team-orientated working environment.
You will be required to wash and dry any dishes from the day, including containers and mugs. Also, help out with the end-of-shift clean and tidy. We will supply everything you need for this role.
Accessibility: Need to be able to be on your feet for 1-2 hours.

Van drivers
About the Van Driver Role:
Location: Meet at The Free Store, driving around Wellington
Time: 1:30-5pm – Organised by roster
In this role, you will drive our van to the airport, Miramar, Kelburn and to other set locations around the city.
This job requires you to have a full driver’s licence, be responsible, reliable, calm under pressure and able to create safe and welcoming spaces for the rest of the team to be a part of while driving.

Van Copilots
About the Van Copilot Role:
Location: Meet at The Free Store, driving around Wellington
Time: 1:30-5pm – Organised by roster
In this role, you will accompany our van driver to the airport, Miramar, Kelburn and to other set locations around the city.
This job requires you to be responsible, reliable, calm under pressure and able to create safe and welcoming spaces for the rest of the team to be a part of while driving.
